Loc Van brings to the firm over 15 years of broad corporate finance experience, with an emphasis on mergers & acquisitions, restructurings, and private placements of debt and equity capital. He has completed approximately $2 billion in transaction value through buy-side and sell-side M&A, capital raises of senior, junior, and equity capital, and restructuring engagements. Most recently, he’s been involved with the sale of First Rehabilitation Insurance Company of America, a $200 million equity raise to pursue aerospace acquisitions with a top 10 private equity firm, a $45 million capital raise for 1800 LoanMart, and a $65 million capital raise for a public aerospace company. In addition, Mr. Van has been involved with the sale of Malys of California, Inc., a leading distributor of professional hair care products to L’Oreal; the sale of Ontic Engineering & Manufacturing, Inc. to BBA Group; the recapitalization/MBO of Goldline International, the leading numismatic coin retailer in the US; and the sale of A-Mark Financial, Inc., a $2.5 billion in sales trader of precious metals products, the sale of Furrs Restaurant Group, Inc., a $150 million per year in revenue, 55-store restaurant chain in the Southwest; and the sale of Steel Horse Automotive, Inc. In 2010, Mr. Van was named by the M&A Advisor as a 40 Under 40 Recognition Award Winner.
Prior to joining M&A Capital, Mr. Van worked at Murphy Noell Capital, a middle market investment bank and Western Peaks Financial Corporation where he structured numerous working capital, purchase, and renovation loans.
Mr. Van earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley.
